C.F. Martin began his venture in 1833. Four generations later, Chris Martin IV is at the helm of this family business. Although there have been many changes over the past 178 years, one thing has remained consistent: C.F. Martin's commitment to quality. For over a century, Martin guitars have been considered the standard by which all others are measured.
The Minor Chord is proud to be a Martin Marquis dealer. This means that our customers can always count on an extensive in-stock selection of C. F. Martin instruments. And if you are looking for an extra-special Martin guitar that is not in stock, our Marquis status enables us to get less-common models that most other stores are simply not authorized to carry.
For complete information about instruments manufactured by C. F. Martin visit the C.F. Martin Company website.

This is one our favorite and best-selling guitars. The "OO" size is extremely comfortable. Whether you are a smaller player or simply prefer a smaller-bodied instrument, the Martin OO-15M will not disappoint.
The OO-15M top, back and sides are solid mahogany for that rich Martin sound. The bridge and fingerboard are rosewood with a 1-11/16 inch nut. This guitar has a stunningly loud sound for a smaller instrument.
We just received this left-handed version of the C. F. Martin OO-15M above, which is one of our favorite and most popular Martin instruments.
Some folks try to create a left-handed guitar by simply reversing the string positions. That won't work very well.
Our OO-15MLH is a true left-handed instrument - the bridge and nut are mirror images of those on a right-handed OO-15M. The left-handed bridge allows the strings to deliver proper intonation in their reversed positions, and the left-handed nut provides the correct notch width and depth for each string.
Quality left-handed guitars can be hard to find. If you play "lefty" and have been looking for a nice mahogany Martin, you need to come in and check this one out.
This is another great-sounding smaller-bodied Martin. The sides and back are solid mahogany. The top is Sitka spruce, giving a slightly brighter tone than the OO-15M above. Its 1-11/16 inch nut combined with the OOO-size body makes this guitar very comfortable to play - a great C. F. Martin guitar at a price that won't break the bank.
Martin Dreadnaughts always have a huge sound. This model has an eye-catching 3-piece back of solid ovangkol and rosewood. The sides are solid ovangkol. The top is Sitka spruce.
The DC-16GTE is equipped with a Roland pickup system with on-guitar EQ adjustments, reverb effects, and more. The cutaway gives the player easy access to the upper register.
This instrument is a great choice for the performing musician.
This is the HD-28 classic Martin Dreadnought with the usual herringbone binding - and a beautiful dark sunburst finish. Like the standard HD-28, this Sunburst version is constructed with solid Indian rosewood back and sides and a Sitka spruce top. Hand-scalloped interior bracing. The nut is 1-11/16 inches.
The HD-28s have lots of volume with very clear and balanced tone. Where the D-18 has more of a woody tone, the HD-28 is a bit smoother to play and the sound is more clear all the way through. If you're looking for an HD-28, this is a particularly pretty one.
If you are looking for a smaller instrument that still has the famous Martin tone, you should try the OOO-28. Solid Indian rosewood back and sides. Sitka spruce top. Solid ebony fingerboard and bridge. Low-profile neck. 1-11/16 inch nut.
The OOO body size is not only narrower side-to-side but also thinner front-to-back, making a very comfortable instrument for the player with shorter arms. This is a compact guitar that still puts out a lot of rich, warm and characteristically Martin sound.
This is one of C. F. Martin's newer acoustic-electric models. Solid Indian rosewood back and sides, Sitka spruce top. Relatively wide 1-3/4 inch nut. Abalone rosette and fretboard inlays. Striking ovangkol binding on the body and neck.
The GPCPA1 is fitted with the Fishman F-1 Aura system, which is capable of modeling nine different studio microphones. The instrument is also equipped with the Gold Plus under-saddle pickup for performance situations in which acoustic feedback might be a problem.
This is a versatile, great-sounding and great-looking acoustic-electric guitar.
The DCPA4 is a dreadnought size instrument with sapele back and sides and Sitka spruce top. It is equipped with Fishman F-1 electronics.
This guitar has a nice woody tone. It is a great choice for the performing musician at a price that won't break the bank.
The D-28P is new to the Martin llineup. It is built to the same specifications as the D-28 but with a wider 1-3/4 inch nut. This makes a big difference for the player who uses fingerstyle as well as strumming.
The HD-28 is the classic Martin Dreadnought. Solid Indian rosewood back and sides. Sitka spruce top. Herringbone trim. Hand-scalloped interior bracing. The nut is 1-11/16 inches.
This guitar has lots of volume with very clear and balanced tone. Where the D-18 has more of a woody tone, the HD-28 is a bit smoother to play and the sound is more clear all the way through. The HD-28 is a great choice if you are looking for that characteristic Martin tone.
The D-16GT is an all solid wood Dreadnought. Mahogany back and sides. Sitka spruce top with a gloss finish. Big bassy tone. This guitar is similar to the sound of a D-18 but at a more affordable price.
The SWOMGT is an OM-style guitar in Martin's Sustainable Wood series. These instruments are made from ecologically grown woods including the solid cherry back and sides and the katalox fingerboard. Sitka spruce top. Tortoise binding and headplate. 1-3/4 inch nut.
This guitar is one of our favorites in the Martin line, having a unique yet identifiably Martin sound: Warm, but with a certain snappiness.
The SWDGT is the dreadnought version of the SWOMGT and is constructed from the same sustainable woods. It has a 1-11/16 inch nut.
Due to its larger dreadnought body size, the SWDGT has a deeper, boomy tone as compared to the OM-size SWOMGT.
The OMCPA4 is an OM-size cutaway instrument with sapele back and sides, Sitka spruce top, and a 1-3/4 inch nut. The on-board Fishman F-1 electronics can replicate the sound of 9 world-class studio microphones.
This guitar is the OM-size version of the DCPA4, making it more comfortable for the player looking for a smaller instrument. Like the DCPA4, the OMCPA4 is a great value for the performing artist
This acoustic-electric Dreadnought has solid Indian rosewood back and sides with a Sitka spruce top. Plenty of volume with a well-balanced, clear tone. 1-11/16 inch nut. The Fishman Aura system gives you versatility in performance situations with seven different sound configurations to choose from.
The D-18 is Martin's long-standing classic mahogany Dreadnought. Solid Sitka spruce top. Big, woody sound - you will defintiely be heard playing this instrument! 1-11/16 inch nut. Rosewood bridge and fretboard. Full gloss body.
If you are a mahogany fan, you can't go wrong with this guitar.
The OM-21 is one of C. F. Martin's most versatile guitars and one of our most popular Martin models. It is great for anything or any style you throw at it. All solid Indian rosewood back and sides. Sitka spruce top. 1-3/4" nut. Rosewood bridge and fingerboard.
This instrument has a very well balanced sound with plenty of that characteristic Martin bass as well.
If you are looking for an affordable Martin acoustic-electric cutaway, the DCX1KE is an excellent choice. Solid Sitka spruce top. Laminated koa back and sides. Fishman Presys+ pickup system.
The DCX1KE has a nice crisp Dreadnought sound, and the cutaway provides easy access to the upper frets.
Martin upgraded the 15 Series this year to all solid mahogany construction, nicer Gotoh butterbeam tuners and abalone snowflake inlays. The OOO size is perfect for both strumming and fingerstyle playing. The 1-11/16 inch nut makes a neck that is easy to wrap your hand around.
If you are looking for a big, dark Martin sound the OOO-15 will deliver.
The D-15M is built to the same specifications as the OOO-15M except that it is a full-size Dreadnought. The instrument produces a lot of sound with a very strong bass register.
The D-15M is a great value if you are looking for a huge Martin sound at an affordable price.
Martin's Vintage Series guitars have a great old-time feel. All solid mahogany back and sides. Sitka spruce top. Like other Vintage Series instruments, the OO-18V has a wider neck than contemporary C. F. Martin OO instruments. 1-3/4 inch nut with a nice chunky V-profile neck.
The OO-18V is a smaller sized guitar that doesn't sacrifice tone. If you want a very comfortable guitar with a larger-profile neck, you should check out the OO-18V.
The D-35 is another classic and great-sounding C. F. Martin Dreadnought. Solid 3-piece Indian rosewood back. Rosewood sides. Solid Sitka spruce top. White binding on back and neck. Smooth-playing ebony fretboard.
This instrument easily produces the volume and full tone that is characteristic of Martin Dreadnoughts - great for all playing styles.
